Mac Lipstick

I have been hearing a lot about Mac Lipstick recently, so I thought why not give it a try? I was a little apprehensive at first because the price is a little high for a lipstick (£15.50), but then I thought about how long it would last and that swayed me enough to give it a shot.
I went to the local Mac store to choose a lipstick and there was so many to choose from, I didn't know where to start! 

I was like a child in a sweet shop deciding, but I wanted to make the best choice. 

I thought I would choose two different lipsticks, one a more natural shade, and one a more pink 'going out' shade. 

In the end after trying on a fair few shades i choose, Chatterbox and Creme cup.Which the names themselves are very cute.  

I couldn't wait to try them out!

(I know I don't have a top lip, and I'm not the best at applying lipstick on my tiny lips)

So I put the Mac lipstick to the test, to see how long it would last and how it felt on my lips.

The lipstick was easy to apply, but as I only have small lips the end of the lipstick was a bit too wide,   hence why I went out of the lines a little (OOPS). I think maybe if I was going to use this lipstick every day I would struggle because it is not as easy as some lipsticks/lipglosses to apply. I couldn't do it without a mirror or I would have it all around my face . Which wouldn't be a good look. But maybe if I used a brush to apply it with it would be neater and a lip liner might help with the definition of my lips.

The lipstick is also a very creamy texture and I would not advise putting it in a warm place as I think it would probably melt.

Other than that the lipstick is very good. It does not stay as long as some of my other lipsticks but I would say this is still one of my favourites! I don't mind having to re-apply after food, you can't expect it to last all day. 

I do really like the two shades that I had chosen, as the natural shade is great for every day use and just defines the lips and makes them look shiny compared to dull natural lips. And the pink shade is a very nice shade too as it is bright and visible but defintly not too in your face.

Overall i am very happy with my investment and can't wait to try some more shades.

Face Scrub on a Budget

Today I am going to blog about my new on a budget Face scrub called "NS Nuage facial scub".

 So we don't all like to spend hundreds of pounds on face care products do we?  neither do I, if I am totally honest.

I just like to use a basic face scrub/wash, something quick and effective. 

Ive been shopping around looking for the perfect budget facial scrub for ages and came across this face scrub.

I got it from home bargains for under a pound. I brought it for 89p, which you can't get much cheaper than that can you?

 For the past week I have took the face scrub to the test. An the results are pretty good. To be honest, I loved it from the very first use.  I could not believe it was actually good. Usually for 89p you would get a rubbish scrub that doesn't do anything it said it would.

But this face scrub actually works! And if I must say myself, my face is as smooth as a babies bum :)

And my face has been a lot more radiant and bright and I don't seem to have had as many blackheads and spots.  

Basically before going to bed after removing make up, you just have to massage the scrub into your face in circular motions. Pretty easy. Then just wash away and the results are pretty much instant.

 See for yourselves and you will be surprised.

I will defiantly be buying the product again.

Afternoon tea at Coombe Abbey

Afternoon tea at Coombe Abbey

On Sunday me and my friend Amy, went to Coombe Abbey for afternoon tea for my 21st birthday (belated present).  And I must say that it is one of the best things to buy me, as i am a tea addict, and I love cakes!  So I was very impressed.   :) 

 On arrival to Coombe Abbey the building and surrounding gardens were beautiful. The hotel even had its own moat, which is pretty impressive.  

The afternoon tea that we had was the traditional Abbots Afternoon Tea, which came on a three layered stand. On the bottom were scones, cream and jam. The middle was a range of finger sandwiches and on top were homemade cakes and desserts. (in pictures below) 


Which may not look or sound a lot, but trust me, we couldn't of fitted one more thing in our mouths, even if we tried.

Plus we had a tea pot full of traditional breakfast tea, which seemed like a forever lasting tea pot. 

So overall we were very stuffed and nearly had to be rolled out of there!

After our afternoon tea we had a wonder around the hotel and the outside grounds, which was great. We also took millions of photos. Which of course had to be done :).  

Overall I was very happy with the Afternoon Tea experience and think that it was great value for money.  Also the location is great and in the summer it would be very nice just to have a wonder around. The food was lovely and you could tell that it was homemade.

If you would like to have a lovely, peaceful enjoyable day out, then I would defiantly recommend this. Also if there is any celebrations coming up it would be a great place to go. With family, friends or for a romantic day out.

So I ordered my first ever beauty box a few weeks back and exciting wasn't the word for it. I literally couldn't  wait for it to come.

 Anyway, it came around 5 days after I ordered it. And it just happened that, that day I wasn't in ! Gutted!!!

As you can see it comes in a silver box with the Love Me Beauty logo on top. This is great packaging, as it also double up to a storage box. Which I have already found a useful place for it. Inside the beauty box there is a cute card saying “I have too much make up! Said no woman ever.” Which i couldn't agree more with, could you? 

Underneath the card is a drawstring bag, which the products are in. This is also very useful for storing make up, using when travelling or simply putting your daily essentials in your handbag.

Inside the bag is the products which i had chosen. The products that I had chosen are :

ModelCo Eye liner pencil with built in sharpener - shade black01 RRP-£14.00 (1 credit)

I always use a pencil eyeliner on a daily basis so was excited to try out this product. 

This eyeliner is great it a very dark black shade with a built in sharpener which is very handy. As there is nothing worse than a blunt pencil when your out. This eyeliner goes on very smoothly. Also unlike most eyeliners it lasted all day and didn't smudge! Which I loved. Will defiantly use this product again.

ModelCo Power lash mascara  shade black RRP- £24.00  (2 credits)      

This mascara is also great. It adds volume and length to your lashes and doesn't crumble throughout the day. Also it doesn't make your eye lashes look like spiders legs like some mascaras :)

ModelCo Lip Laquer - shade Viva RRP- £15.00 (2 credits)

The smell of this lipgloss is to die for! Smells very fruity and if i could eat it I definitely would.  I have mixed thoughts on this lipgloss as it was very glossy and a great colour, but the coverage isn't great as its a little patchy. It did last a few hours, which is good even lasted through drinking and eating, but then after that it seems to make your lips vert dry. So it has its advantages and disadvantages.

Nail inc Nail Polish shade Bruton lane RRP£11.00 (1 credit)

I tried this out on my nails the other day and I must say it is a lovely colour. I expected a coral pale colour, but its more of a bright coral colour, which is a great colour for the summer. I had to put a few coats on, but overall i was very happy. It did chip a few days after use, but don't all nail varnishes! 

Nail inc Nail polish shade Lexington Gardens  RRP £11.00 (1 credit)

I tried this nail varnish out on my toes and its a bright purple, also a very nice colour for the summer. I put this nail varnish on last week and it is still intact with no chips, which i am very happy with. Both nail varnishes have a high shine gloss to them, which I love! I would recommend this product to anyone, as it has a great finish. 

Overall i am loving the Love Me Beauty box and cannot wait for next months. 

This box is great, as I don't get any old products that i do not want and at £10 +£3.95 P&P i think that is very good investment. The total cost of what this box is worth is a great- £75.00 so i am very happy and will most definitely be buying next months. Also all my products were full size and not sample size, so this was very great. I had never tried any of these brands before and probably wouldn't of if it wasn't for Love Me beauty.
